They'll be given various fossil specimens from different time periods and locations, and using charts and diagrams, they'll compare the fossils' structures, identifying similarities and differences. In our Meteorology STEM class, young learners will gain a deeper understanding of weather phenomena and the forces that shape our climate. Students will create a cloud in a jar observing the formation of clouds as warm, moist air rises and cools. This activity introduces children to the process of condensation and the role it plays in cloud formation. Next, our budding meteorologists will conduct a Wind Race Experiment. They'll design, construct sailboats, test their sailboats in different wind conditions, measuring and comparing how far each boat travels. Learn basic sewing and fabric cutting skills while promoting sustainability and creating a memorable project. In this class students will take 2 of their favorite t shirts and give them new life as a reversible reusable tote. Students will work with MACC Lab professionals to create these reusable totes to take home. Due to limited machines, class sizes are limited. Please register soon to reserve your spot!
